A few days ago we received a letter in the mail from my doctor. Inside was a pamphlet that gave us the exact date for our c-section (yes, I’m having an elective c-section. I might be crazy, but that’s what we want).

38 days to go!
This week we are planning for our two-day getaway to Nashville. I’m very excited as this will be our last hurr-ah before Buttercup arrives. I have booked us a hop on/hop off trolley tour of the city and have lots of sights to see (Hatch Show Print, Antique Archeology, The Pancake Pantry, etc). Expect lots of pictures next week!
Once we return I will only have a few more days of work left (!!!!!!!), and we will really start transforming the old nursery into the new nursery.
I also have to tackle the infamous purchasing of the “going home” outfit. Strangely enough this seems to be a daunting task for me. It has nothing to do with not knowing the gender, it has everything to do with the fact we were robbed of this moment with our son. I have such clear memories of sitting in his nursery with all his little newborn clothes laying in front of me trying to pick out which one to use. It took me WEEKS to figure it out . . . we’ll talk about that later though!
At any rate, really looking forward to these last few weeks of planning and preparing. It’s all very muchy!

Yaay! It sounds like you have many exciting things planned. I can’t wait to read more
.
I love, love, love that you don’t know the sex of your baby! We did that with our first and it was so exciting. I would have done it with our second, but my husband couldn’t take it.
We were pregnant with a third, and she would have been our only girl. I always imagined what kind of outfit she’d go home in before we lost her and totally understand the “robbed” feeling. I’m excited for you to meet your buttercup!
